Marcelo Carvalhaes is a senior real estate executive with more than 32 years of experience in real estate development, construction strategy, investment planning, and commercial negotiations across Brazil, the United States, and Portugal. His career combines large-scale corporate leadership with a strong entrepreneurial background, providing him with a unique ability to structure, manage, and scale complex real estate initiatives across multiple markets.
Building on this foundation, Marcelo oversees an extensive portfolio of residential developments across Central Florida and the Midwest, directing construction strategy and managing a long-term rental platform. He also leads development initiatives involving more than 1,629 units currently under structuring in the United States, representing over $105 million in projected investments.
Marcelo's corporate leadership experience includes more than a decade in senior executive roles within major real estate development and construction organizations in Brazil, Europe, and the United States. Throughout his career, he has contributed to more than 5.9 million square feet of development, 6,443 residential units, and approximately $768 million in sellout value. His responsibilities have included U.S. market expansion, corporate finance, investor relations, sales restructuring, and land bank assembly, reinforcing his ability to lead high-value, large-scale initiatives with strategic clarity and operational precision. In addition, Marcelo has participated in the repositioning of seven multifamily redevelopment projects in Florida totaling 2,287 units. His experience spans a broad range of real estate sectors, including affordable housing, luxury condominiums, single-family residential communities, multifamily apartment developments, and commercial projects.
Marcelo holds an MBA in Real Estate Development and a Postgraduate Degree in Production Engineering from the University of São Paulo, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Mauá Institute of Technology. His expertise in development strategy, financial modeling, and multi-market expansion strengthens Marvel Capital Partners's ability to execute complex, high-value real estate initiatives across multiple regions.
